Since 2000, we have run continuous tunnel kilns and de-airing vacuum extruders in Sri Lanka, transforming locally harvested clay into precision-fired, weather-resistant architectural terracotta at industrial scale — with in-house moulds, glazing, and quality control on every batch.
Precision-extruded and high-temperature kiln-fired for exceptional strength, our interlocking roof tiles are engineered to withstand heavy tropical monsoons, driving rain, and intense UV exposure. The dense clay body resists water absorption and cracking, while the low thermal conductivity keeps interiors naturally cooler — reducing cooling costs and delivering decades of maintenance-free, weather-tight roofing.
Manufactured from dense, high-fired clay, our floor pavers offer a naturally non-slip surface with outstanding abrasion resistance and load-bearing capacity. Ideal for heritage restorations, luxury resorts, walkways, courtyards, and high-traffic commercial spaces, they retain their earthy tones for years, stay cool underfoot in direct sun, and require minimal upkeep even under constant use.
Our ventilated clay facade system creates an insulating air cavity between the tile and the wall, cutting solar heat gain and lowering building cooling loads. Made from 100% natural, eco-friendly clay with no synthetic coatings, the cladding delivers a refined architectural finish, superior breathability, and long-term colour stability for both modern and traditional building exteriors.
From deep structural foundations to large-scale land preparation, our civil engineering division has delivered 150+ contracts — the heavy infrastructure backbone for commercial, industrial, and public developments across the island, executed by our own plant fleet and chartered engineers.
From pile caps and raft footings to deep piling, we deliver load-bearing foundations built to rigorous structural standards. Integrated computerized ready-mix batching ensures consistent, high-grade concrete for every pour, while our experienced engineers manage reinforcement detailing, formwork, and curing to guarantee long-term stability for commercial, industrial, and multi-storey developments.
Our earthworks division handles bulk excavation, cut-and-fill, compaction, slope stabilization, and precision grading for sites of every scale. Using Total Station and GPS surveying, we achieve accurate levels and gradients, safely preparing land for construction, roads, and industrial estates with a modern fleet of heavy machinery operated by skilled crews.
We design and construct engineered drainage networks — reinforced concrete channels, culverts, and stormwater systems — sized to manage high-volume tropical rainfall and prevent flooding. Our solutions protect roads, factories, and urban developments by directing water flow efficiently, reducing erosion, and safeguarding infrastructure against the region’s intense monsoon seasons.

Subhasingha Holdings (Pvt) Ltd was incorporated in 2000, born from a single clay quarry and a conviction that Sri Lanka's building materials could be manufactured to international standard on home soil. As the country entered a decade of post-war reconstruction, we grew alongside it — investing in continuous tunnel-kiln technology and heavy plant to serve the surging demand for roofing, paving, and structural infrastructure.
Today we operate two integrated divisions — Terracotta Manufacturing and Civil Engineering — under one disciplined group, employing more than 300 people from the surrounding districts, including engineers, masons, designers, kiln operators, machine operators and skilled tradespeople across both technical and non-technical roles. Our clay is sourced within Sri Lanka, processed through de-airing vacuum pugmills, and fired in-house, giving us end-to-end control over quality from raw earth to finished project.
